Antique ring in 18K gold and silver with diamonds and onyx, early 1900s
Amazing 18K gold and silver ring with diamonds and onyx.
This wonderful antique ring, dating back to the early 1900s, we could define it as a daisy ring, but very different from the classic model: in fact we have a diamond outline that surrounds a more important diamond but, in this case, this rests on a circular slab of onyx.
In detail, the central diamond is old mine cut, while the outline is decorated with twenty rosette cut diamonds, inserted inside a wavy and very elegant setting; the diamonds are for a total of 0.65ct.
I must admit that I have a weakness for onyx, black being one of my favorite colors, but in this case I think the contrast that is created between the black of the onyx and the sparkling white of the diamonds is objectively wonderful.
