18K gold band ring with emerald, 60s / 70s

This ring was made with a frame between the futuristic and the "fantasy": it looks like a mix of innovative shapes and elements from a fantastic story.
Starting from the frame, the front part has been “hollowed out” so as to obtain two more visible and thicker edges; despite this, the central part protrudes slightly, in such a way as to make the very particular decoration clearly visible.
In fact, in the center we find an oval-cut emerald, which has however been inserted inside a hexagon-shaped bezel, thus giving the illusion that even the stone has this fantastic geometric shape; on each side we find a row of two rhombuses, the only elements made of white gold.
The whole is in 18K gold.
