Antique ring in 18K gold and silver with sapphire and diamonds, 1920s

This incredible antique ring, made in the 1920s, seems to have come out of a fairy tale: as you can see it was in fact made with an infinite series of decorations, with a naturalistic theme, which never seem to end and which cover the entire jewel, from start to finish.

Starting from the central part, this has a well-defined circular shape and the surface of which is not "full" as it is crossed by fretwork workings, which I find it hard to believe to be created by a human hand, they are so beautiful.
These cover most of the central part, and we can see that they create as many small bouquets of flowers: the stems were made thanks to these perforations, while the real flowers are given by yellow gold inserts (choice which I find very clever because they give the idea of a real colored flowers).

Looking at the stones that decorate the ring, on the four sides we find four rosette-cut diamonds, inserted in silver settings, while in the center we have a sapphire of a stupendous blue, this instead held by a decorated setting and in yellow gold.

And now let's move on to the back of the ring, which is also full of surprises.
Starting from the two shoulders we find here too a riot of various natural elements, such as branches and leaves; this theme also continues in the rest of the stem, having been engraved to create a festoon of flowers and leaves.
Last feature that I want to point out is the fact that even the external contours (which start from the central part of the ring and reach the entire stem) have been engraved, so that this part too was entirely covered with a beautiful naturalistic decoration.

In short, the more you look at this ring the more you will be able to discover many details that at first glance had escaped you, thus falling in love even more with this real masterpiece.

The ring was made of 18K yellow gold and silver.
