Vintage cocktail ring in 18K gold with orange topaz, 1960s

This vintage ring is a beautiful example of a cocktail ring.
This name derives from the use that women made of it in the past decades on the occasion of parties in which they said to show off a ring that attracted attention, that made people talk about yes and that was therefore noticed by anyone.
This ring in particular I find it perfect for the summer, thanks to the stone that decorates it: you might think that it is a quartz (stone that is very often found in this type of rings), but it is actually a beautiful orange topaz , I would say peach.
Its frame is in line with the ring, so we find four prongs that almost look like claws, which firmly harpoon the topaz and continue in a stem divided in two, which is also beautifully robust.
The whole is in 18K yellow gold.
