Vintage ring in 18K gold with red glass paste, 1950s

It is difficult to believe that the stone that decorates this ring is not a very precious and very expensive stone ... Difficult to believe but true: it is in fact a glass paste of an incredible, very intense, deep red, which makes it look like an almost magical stone.
The frame that holds it is entirely in 18K yellow gold and is just as beautiful: inserted in a bezel with a thick edge, it is further held by the jaws: above and below we find a pair of jaws, quite thin, while on the sides we find the elegant continuation of the two shoulders.
