Vintage 18K gold ring with sapphires, 1960s
This vintage ring, from the 60s, has been made with a very particular shape, which can be appreciated especially once worn.
The whole ring is in fact based on the way in which the shank and then the shoulders have been worked: if you look closely, the central decoration is nothing more than the continuation of the shoulders, which have been lengthened and decorated.
These two elements thus have the appearance of two impetuous waves going in opposite directions, one upward and one downward, with the ends slightly pointed.
One side and the other are as if sewn together by three beautiful marquise-cut sapphires (very elegant cut) and arranged diagonally.
Almost the whole ring is in yellow gold, but the central part of the two waves is in white gold, with a process that wants to create the illusion of the presence of diamonds.
