Vintage 18K gold ring with sapphires and diamonds, 40s / 50s

This ring, made between the 40s and the 50s, will surely strike you for its shape, so perfect, defined and precise.

The whole central part is delimited by an outline with eight sides, making it look like the frame of a painting.
The work of art it contains is formed by a first outline of sapphires, all round cut and set between the frame and the central part of the painting; here we find a thin gold border surrounding white gold, worked with the technique that is able to make it look like diamonds, and two huit-huit cut diamonds (one above and one below); finally, in the exact center, set in yellow gold, we find an oval cut sapphire.

The ring is made entirely of 18K yellow and white gold.
