Vintage 18K gold ring with diamonds (approx.0.50ctw), ruby (approx.0.30ct) and emeralds (approx.0.90ctw), 1970s / 1980s

One thing I never do is give a name / a title to the jewels, but for this I have to make an exception: he has to call it "Ode to Nature".
Just looking at it it is easy to understand why he thought of this title: its shape and its colors are in fact the clear result of the imitation of nature, which inspired whoever created it 🪴✨
In the center we find a flower, perfectly executed and clearly distinguishable: a ruby was chosen to act as a pistil, with a round cut and estimated at 0.30ct, of a dark red and with lighter notes inside.
Surrounding it we find instead six petals, made of brilliant-cut diamonds, for an estimated total of half a carat (0.50ct approx.) 🌸
Surrounding part of the flower we find a “plant”, made of marquise-cut emeralds, for an estimated total of 0.90ct.
The emeralds, thanks to this very bright green color (which goes in sharp contrast with the rest, highlighting it in particular), make the decoration look like a real plant that has delicately twisted around the flower, then stopping in that pose, as happens in nature 🌿
The whole setting is in 18K yellow gold, a more than perfect color for this ring ☀️
