Antique bracelet with charms, early 1900s

Aggiungi alla Wishlist
This bracelet is a beautiful example of an antique bracelet with charms, and more precisely dates back to the early twentieth century.
The chain is entirely in 9K yellow gold and is made through many rings connected to each other, to which the ten charms that decorate the bracelet (also in 9K gold) are attached, all with different meanings and probably also coming from different eras .
Among the oldest decorations we certainly find the small basket 🧺, decorated with beads, and the lighter 🔥 (the pendant between the parrot and the heart).
We also find two charms whose meanings we all know, being part of our traditions: one is in the shape of a cornetto🌶️, a typical lucky charm, and a second one represents the gesture of the two horns 🤘🏻, this symbol of superstition.
Particularly nice are the parrot (its body is mobile and can therefore be moved) 🦜 and the little monkey 🐒 (placed to the right of the heart).
Interesting is the pendant depicting a swastika, whose image is unfortunately immediately connected to the Nazi ideology, but certainly inserted for one of the many other meanings that this symbol carries with it.
Finally we find a lock 🔒, modeled in the shape of a heart, the symbol par excellence of love and which opens for real.
