Vintage 8K gold pendant with amethyst, 60s / 70s
This important pendant really catches the eye: and this not only for its size, but also and above all for its beauty and its particularity.
Here we find one of my favorite combinations in jewelry, that is yellow + purple, here obtained from the union between 8K yellow gold and central amethyst.
The stone is oval cut and positioned in the exact center of the pendant; the purple that colors it is quite dark, with some lighter veins here and there.
It is held by a bezel with a slightly serrated and rather high edge, which makes it stand out well from the rest.
The yellow gold decoration expands throughout the contour in a truly magnificent way; this part of the jewel makes it seem to come from a fairy tale: we find in fact a whole series of perfect and incredible fretwork and gold modeling, so much so that it looks like a lace.
(I recommend that you also take a good look at the photo of the back of the pendant because it captures the beauty of everything even more).
Finally, the ring is quite large, so that the jewel can be worn with any type of chain, from the thinnest to the thickest, but also with a ribbon (perhaps velvet) so as to make it the decoration of a choker.
