Vintage 14K white gold necklace with triplet opal pendant and diamonds (approx. 0.72ctw), 1970s / 1980s
Opal is the birthstone (or birthstone) of those born in October, and at the very dawn of this month I want to offer you a beautiful necklace with a pendant decorated with a triplet opal.
In this jewel we have a chain made of 14K white gold, and with a rather thick link, to which this pendant has been joined.
The latter is decorated with a triplet opal, that is a rather thin opal to which a black base has been added, to bring out the colors, and above a transparent dome.
The opal thus manages to release and express all its infinite colors, making it look like a window on the universe.
The outline is formed by a halo of twenty diamonds, with three others decorating the sum of the pendant; the diamonds are all brilliant cut and have an estimated total of 0.72ct.
The necklace dates back to the 70s / 80s.
