Vintage necklace in 18K gold with rubies, sapphires and diamonds (0.30ctw approx.), 1970s / 1980s

As I promised today I will show you a lot of color, so here we are with this nothing short of wonderful and colorful vintage necklace.
Made between the 70s and the 80s, what immediately catches the eye here is the central decoration, which immediately made me think of the plumage of a bird.
It was in fact made with a very particular shape, the result of the immense imagination of those who made the jewel.
Here we find three types of stones, perfectly set and, even if it may not seem so, with a precise order and sense.
First of all we find rubies and sapphires, both of a marquise cut and respectively of a light burgundy and a deep blue beautiful; together they are for an estimated total of 1ct approx.
Together with these pastel stones we also find a touch of white and light given by brilliant cut diamonds, scattered here and there in such a way as to create a magical contrast that highlights the whole decoration; these are for an estimated total of approx. 0.30ct.
The setting that holds all this is no less and it is absolutely to be appreciated and admired: if we turn the central decoration we will in fact find the reflection of the stones but this time in yellow gold, thus being able to understand the complexity of the jewel.
Both the frame and the chain, very delicate and fine, are in 18K yellow gold.

Given the age and the fact that they are handcrafted jewels (and not in series), our antique and vintage jewels are often not perfect and may show normal signs of surface wear and / or small imperfections, possibly present both on the parts in gold than on stones.
But this is precisely what makes each piece special and unique!
