This particular vintage ring, dating back to the 1950s, is decorated with a wonderful central cabochon-cut amber.
Amber, a fossil resin, is a really interesting and particular material: specifically it is the resin emitted by conifers which, over time, fossilizes and in some cases solidifies, thus managing to preserve plant, fungal or animals. It is translucent, of a color that can vary from yellow, to reddish and brown, up to the green and blue of Dominican amber and of the island of Java.
In this case, our amber is surrounded by a contour of white beads and is located inside a particularly worked and elegant setting, and is entirely made of 18K gold.
