Today I want to show you a truly unique and particular piece: it is an ancient demiparure, consisting of a brooch and a pair of earrings, still stored in their original box (!!!!).
All the jewels are decorated with a micromosaic on onyx, each representing a Greek temple (that of the brooch is depicted from afar - and in fact you can also see the surrounding environment and glimpse some other building).
Obviously the most striking element of this set are the micromosaics: we can in fact see all the tiny (micro, "precisely") mosaics, chosen and positioned perfectly to give life to the wonderful designs that we can admire on these jewels.
The setting of the brooch and earrings are in 12K gold, and the demiparure dates back to the first half of the nineteenth century.
