Each of these antique earrings, dating back to the early 1900s, is decorated with a beautiful baroque pearl, also known as the "scaramazza pearl".
These are very different pearls from the type that we normally imagine when we talk about this material: we usually think of a beautiful round, smooth and regular pearl; scaramazze pearls are rather characterized by irregular, "wavy" and indefinite shapes.
These characteristics make them perfect to be used in the creation of imaginative and particular jewels, but also to recreate shapes of objects, people and animals.

In the case of these earrings we therefore find two scaramazze pearls, with a rounded shape, surmounted by a half crown of three beautiful old mine cut diamonds.
The setting of the earrings is beautifully crafted, and is entirely made of 18K yellow gold.
The closure is by latch.
