Vintage 18K gold earrings with mabe pearls and diamonds (0.20ctw approx.), 1960s

Everything we find in this splendid pair of 1960s earrings screams "elegance" and "refinement"; the materials, the frame, the shape, the way they are once worn, all contribute to express this great sense of great taste.

These earrings are decorated with two mabé pearls of a not very light white but with a slightly opaque texture, an element that for me makes the pearls even more beautiful.
Each has been inserted into an 18K yellow gold bezel and totally closed on the back, thus hiding the back of the pearl; on the front the edge is thick and clearly visible, which creates a strong contrast with the white of the pearl and highlights it.

To further decorate these earrings we find a brilliant cut diamond, placed above the pearl; the two diamonds are also held by an 18K yellow gold bezel and are each about 0.10ct, for an estimated total of 0.20ct approx.

The closure is with a needle and clip, which tightens enough to hold the earrings firmly to the lobes but not too much to annoy.

The final result, as mentioned at the beginning, are particularly elegant but not too flashy earrings ... I would say definitely chic and to wear for any occasion (both for their appearance and for the comfort felt in wearing them).
