Each of these delightful vintage earrings (dating back to the 60s and 70s) was made most likely inspired by the shapes of the amphorae: the gold setting in fact recalls the handles, while the central stone the body, recreating the shape of this vase.
Specifically, the central stone is a beautiful cabochon-cut turquoise and, of course, is characterized by this wonderful deep blue; the decorations (including "the handles", a top "V" insert and a sphere that embellishes the closure), the frame and the closure are entirely in 14K yellow gold.
