Elegant Lanco Barracuda automatic vintage watch in steel.
This wristwatch was made in the '60s, a period in which the manufacturer "Lanco" reaches one of its moments of maximum splendor (a few years later, in fact, the company would encounter various problems).
Its name "Barracuda" is extremely representative and indicative of its main function: as a "tool watch", it was in fact created to be a "diver" watch, that is, for divers.
Specifically, this watch was tested up to 30 atmospheres (= 300m).
Two other elements are essential for its function as a diver: the rotating bezel, useful for reminding divers of the dive time and tritium, a phosphorescent material used to make the watch visible even in the darkness of the sea.
