Vintage trefoil pendant in 18K gold with diamonds and sapphires, 1960s
This pendant was made around the 1960s, and was given the shape of a shamrock, a three-leaved twig that is commonly related to Ireland.
This pendant is entirely made of 18K gold and the three leaves are decorated, on the whole surface, by some openwork, which create a "honeycomb" effect; each leaf is also decorated with three small central hearts, in white gold and embellished with huit-huit cut diamonds.
The stem is decorated, on the base, with two huit-huit-cut diamonds, while at the point of conjunction with the three leaves by three sapphires.
NB: The ring of the pendant
(which is used to insert the chain) is placed on the back of the clover stem, therefore, once worn, the jewel will be with the stem up and with the leaves down.
