Vintage 14K gold solitaire with brilliant cut diamond (approx. 0.10 ct), 1970s

Looking at this ring and observing the way it was made, it seems to me that it is almost the result of someone wanting to create a ring that combines a wedding ring and a solitaire.

The setting, in 14K yellow gold, in fact presents a simple, classic and smooth structure (the wedding ring), but in the center we find an opening inside which a brilliant cut diamond has been inserted and estimated at 0.10ct approx. (the lonely one).
