Tonight I propose this very elegant antique solitaire, a timeless classic of jewelry.
This example dates back to the 1940s, and is decorated with an old European cut diamond of approx. 0.45ct.
The stone is held by a beautiful setting, which itself acts as a decoration: made with a soft and harmonious outline, it embraces and supports the stone perfectly; the jaws start right under the frame, creating the illusion that the latter is almost soft, bent and curved by the same six jaws, and are quite high, thus allowing us to see the diamond in its entirety.
The whole frame and stem are in 18K white gold.
