Vintage 18K white gold daisy ring with sapphire (approx.2ct) and diamonds (approx.1.40ctw), 1970s

This ring, as you can see, has something truly unique and special. I am convinced that every single detail here has been studied for a long time, because to arrive at such a beautiful, aesthetically particular and complex result, one must have done a simply exceptional job, from start to finish.

The ring is a version of the classic daisy but completely new and unprecedented.
Here, for the outline, diamonds have been chosen of one of the cuts that I find most elegant and fascinating, that is the baguette cut: twelve diamonds are thus positioned in a sequence that has given life to an extremely elongated ring, with a clean and very precise outline (unlike the other daisy rings whose contours are instead sweet and soft).
At the center we find the colored stone, in this case a beautiful dark blue sapphire, but with blue spots here and there; of oval cut is estimated at 2ct approx.
The sapphire is flanked on each of the four sides by four brilliant-cut diamonds.
All sixteen diamonds are for an estimated total of 1.40ct approx.

The ring setting is entirely in 18K white gold.
The two shoulders branch off from the stem, slightly asymmetrical with respect to each other, and all the claws branch off from them: seen from the back of the ring, they themselves become part of the decoration of the ring.

This is one of those rings that in English they would call a “statement ring”, because it really has something to declare: it is not trivial, obvious, but unique and absolutely perfect.
