Vintage 14K gold diamond and sapphire ring, 1960s

Vintage 14K gold ring with diamonds and sapphires.
This very particular ring, dating back to the 60s, has a rather elongated shape, and a structure at the same time intricate but also ordered: in the center we find a larger diamond, flanked (above and below) by a row of two diamonds; four marvelous navette-cut sapphires decorate the sides of the ring, while at each of the four corners we find another four diamonds. The ring is therefore decorated with a total of 9 diamonds, all brilliant cut, and 4 sapphires. The frame is particularly worked and open on the back, while the central part of the stem is slightly more protruding than the upper and lower ones, as if these two had been hollowed out; all gold parts are entirely 14K gold.
