Vintage 14K gold ring with star sapphire and diamonds, 1960s
This vintage ring, dating back to the 1960s, stands out for the central stone with which it is decorated: it is in fact a star sapphire, a stone that (in addition to having a truly poetic name) is extremely elegant, very special and certainly does not go unnoticed.
In this case the star sapphire is of a drop cabochon cut, and is found in a slightly worked and a little decorated setting: on one side we have in fact the gold characterized by grooves, which also continue on the opposite side of the stem ; on the other hand, instead, we find a half crown of brilliant cut diamonds, for a total of eight.
